The South Louisiana Economic Council (SLEC) was established in 1983 to provide support and provisions for the economic needs of the Bayou Region, which comprises of four major Louisiana Parishes.
In order to bring the brand into the contemporary age, I created new brand assets that aim to maintain a strong and supportive identity that would appear trustworthy to corporate businesses, while utilizing a bright color scheme that blends the colors of water and land—a homage to the coastlands of the Bayou Region.
Because SLEC plays a major role in providing important news and information—and because most of SLEC's target audience vary in age and tech literacy—clear and legible type layouts are maintained to ensure ease of information processing across multiple campaigns, reports, and more.
